The Alameda Hornets can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Arroyo a 3-0 shutout. Give Alameda's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.
They hit Arroyo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Colin Pero,
Jack Johnson, and
Natan Welday.
Alameda has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-5-4 record this season. As for Arroyo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alameda will face off against San Lorenzo at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Lorenzo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
