 Lexi Kuffel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and four unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Sarah Park was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run was  her first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Penny Hutchison, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run.
 Niles West's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Antioch, their victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 11-9.
