Even though the Penn Cambria Panthers scored an imposing 67 points on Friday, the Tyrone Golden Eagles still came out on top. Tyrone walked away with a 77-67 victory over Penn Cambria. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tyrone.
Penn Cambria lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Easton Semelsberger, who scored 13 points along with nine assists. Those nine assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Harrold, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Tyrone is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Penn Cambria, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Tyrone will be playing in front of their home fans against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Central is ranked 216th, while Tyrone is ranked 238th). Penn Cambria's road trip will continue as they head out to face Bishop Carroll at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Hopefully Bishop Carroll focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
