5A Region IV District 28 recap Oct. 16, 2012
King moved up to 308 from 384 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region IV District 28. The Mustangs climbed the ranks as a result of falling to Steele 54-14.
The Knights extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating King, 54-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Steele's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Breylann McCollum has thrown for 508 yards and four touchdowns this season, while D'Angelo Wallace has 10 catches for 119 yards. Justin Stockton leads the league in rushing with 614 yards.
A big matchup in 5A Region IV District 28 this week will be when Southwest takes on East Central. As it stands, the Dragons are in second, while the Hornets are in third.
Southwest took down South San Antonio 49-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
