It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Enumclaw can now relate to. They fell just short of the Kennewick Lions by a score of  5-4 on Saturday. The Hornets' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Enumclaw got a good showing from  Paxton Patterson, who   pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Patterson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Cole Chiechi was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 1-for-2 with two  RBI and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Eli Murphy, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Enumclaw's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Kennewick, the  victory was  the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-4.
 Enumclaw does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kennewick, they have already played their next contest,  a  12-5  win against Gig Harbor on the 30th.
