After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Pyramid Lake, Sage Ridge was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Coleville Wolves 78-39. The Scorpions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Sage Ridge got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Daniel Dicante out in front who went 7 of 9 en route to 18 points and six steals. Dicante continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Sullins, who went 8 for 16 on his way to 23 points.
Sage Ridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Coleville's loss came despite strong showings from JayMarion Swan and Anthony Tovar. Swan almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards, while Tovar posted eight points and five rebounds.
With the victory, Sage Ridge broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5. As for Coleville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
