The Gates Chili Spartans lost against the Webster Schroeder Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Gates Chili took a 59-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of Webster Schroeder. Gates Chili has not had much luck with Webster Schroeder recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Joey Vigerzi and Jeremy Tantalo certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Vigerzi scored 15 points, while Tantalo scored 16 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of DarQuinn Johnson, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Gates Chili has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Webster Schroeder, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Gates Chili will play host again and welcome Brighton, where tip off is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Gates Chili focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Friday. Webster Schroeder will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Franklin at 6:30 p.m. on February 12th. One thing working in Franklin's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
