The Frontier Regional Red Hawks will head out to challenge the Franklin County Tech Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Frontier Regional is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
On Monday, Frontier Regional got the win against Minnechaug Regional by a conclusive 7-1. The result was nothing new for the Red Hawks, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Raine Wonsey made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and four RBI.
In other batting news, Skyler Steele was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maggie Nichols, who earned two runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Franklin County Tech got their first taste of in-conference action on Monday and they started things off strong. They came out on top against South Hadley by a score of 7-3.
Brayleigh Burgh spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Amelia Rider, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Sandra Johnson, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Frontier Regional's record is now 13-0. As for Franklin County Tech, their record now sits at 2-9.
Franklin County Tech's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Frontier Regional has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .477. It's a different story for Franklin County Tech, though, as they've only averaged .318. Will they be able to contain Frontier Regional's hitters?
Frontier Regional beat Franklin County Tech 6-1 when the teams last played on April 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
