The Stuart Broncos took care of business in their home opener on Thursday (and then some). They breezed by Niobrara/Verdigre at home to the tune of 63-34. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-9.
Stuart found their leader in underclassman Kayde Ramm, who scored 13 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Gavynn Mustin was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Stuart's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Stuart won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Central Valley at 7:30 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Central Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they will be playing at home against Elgin/Pope John on Friday.
