St. Mary has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] Battlers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, St. Mary had just enough and edged Deubrook out 20-18.
Meanwhile, Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven]'s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. Everything went their way against Sunshine Bible Academy as Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] made off with a 50-30 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-0.
Ryder Falkenhagen continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, while also picking up 52 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Chance Smith, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven]'s defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Sage Hermann and his two sacks.
St. Mary is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. As for Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven], their victory on Friday bumped their record up to 3-5.
St. Mary came out on top in a nail-biter against Potter County co-op [Gettysburg/Hoven] when the teams last played back in November of 2021, sneaking past 44-42.
