The Mountain View Christian Academy Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They secured a 58-52 W over Union Christian Day. The win was just what Mountain View Christian Academy needed coming off of a 69-36 defeat in their prior match.
Union Christian Day's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Landon Gregory, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gregory has scored all season. Jaeden Brown was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Mountain View Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Union Christian Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Mountain View Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against Tabernacle Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Tabernacle Christian is ranked 301st, while Mountain View Christian Academy is ranked 296th). Union Christian Day won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lighthouse Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on January 13th.
