The Incarnate Word Academy Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Antonian Prep, falling 74-19. Incarnate Word Academy has not had much luck with Antonian Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Antonian Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyzarriah Fox, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Fox hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Hannah McDonald, who scored nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Incarnate Word Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season. As for Antonian Prep, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 27-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Incarnate Word Academy will take on Village at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Village presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Incarnate Word Academy in Texas (Village is ranked 307th, while Incarnate Word Academy is ranked 1101st). As for Antonian Prep, they will head out on the road to square off against Incarnate Word at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
