Softball Recap: Caruthers Has No Trouble Against Yosemite

After losing to Yosemite the last time they met, Caruthers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Caruthers was the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Yosemite on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Raiders.

Mia Nola was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmi Almeida, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Caruthers always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yosemite only posted an OBP of .241.

Caruthers now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Yosemite, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Caruthers has already played their next contest, an 11-1 loss against Justin Garza on the 22nd. As for Yosemite, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-0 defeat against Fowler on the 25th.
