The Grace Christian Warriors will head out on the road to challenge the Fishburne Military Caissons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Grace Christian has five straight wins, Fishburne Military has 12 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Grace Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took down Boys' Home 69-50. With that win, Grace Christian brought their scoring average up to 50.2 points per game.
It was another big night for Justin Hain, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 12 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Cashion, who scored ten points along with six assists and two steals.
Fishburne Military suffered their biggest loss since December 4, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 72-48 loss at the hands of Stuart Hall. While losing is never fun, Fishburne Military can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Stuart Hall is ranked 135th).
Grace Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Fishburne Military, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Grace Christian ended up a good deal behind Fishburne Military in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, losing 77-61. Can Grace Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
