Oakwood is 0-6 against the Bulldogs since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Oakwood Panthers will head out on the road to take on the Milford Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Oakwood comes in on five and the Bulldogs on nine.
Oakwood can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 29-7 margin over Trinidad. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Oakwood had established a 21 point advantage.
Oakwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jacee Youngblood out in front who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Youngblood has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Emma Neel was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Milford was able to grind out a solid victory over the Eagles two weeks ago, taking the game 56-45.
Oakwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Milford, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.
Oakwood came up short against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in January, falling 48-41. Can Oakwood avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
