Hill City entered their tilt with Belle Fourche with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Everything went Hill City's way against Belle Fourche on Tuesday as Hill City made off with a 57-35 win. Hill City has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Even though Custer has not done well against Red Cloud recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Custer narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Red Cloud 57-54. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Custer has posted yet this season.
Hill City's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Custer, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-3.
