Byron Nelson's 13-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They secured a 51-46 W over V.R. Eaton. The win was just what Byron Nelson needed coming off of a 55-30 defeat in their prior contest.
Byron Nelson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Belle Ratliff, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. Kennedy Moss was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, Fossil Ridge ended up a good deal behind Southlake Carroll on Friday and lost 56-41. While losing is never fun, Fossil Ridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 260th, while Southlake Carroll is ranked 20th).
Byron Nelson's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-20. As for Fossil Ridge, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 15-9.
