Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Morris Mendham). They managed a 57-52 victory over the West Milford Highlanders on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Minutemen considering their 24-point performance the contest before.

Several Highlanders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amanda O'Brien, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave O'Brien a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Laurel Space, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards.

West Morris Mendham has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for West Milford, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

West Morris Mendham will square off against Immaculata at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Milford, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pequannock at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
