The Madera South Stallions will challenge the Roosevelt Rough Riders at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Having struggled with seven  losses in a row, Madera South  turned things around against Torres  on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Toros with a sharp  8-1 win. The Stallions' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 David Moles made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   five  hits. Moles was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That  RBI marked the first that  he  brought in this season.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jeremiah Montes, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those  two  stolen bases gave  him a new career-high.  Knox Flores was another key player,  going 3-for-4 with four  RBI and one  double.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt hadn't done well against Sunnyside recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. Roosevelt came out on top in a nail-biter against Sunnyside, sneaking past  3-2.
 David Meza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Leonardo Gonzales-Sanchez was  excellent,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with two  doubles and one  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Manny Molano, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Madera South's  victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Roosevelt, their  win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 10-4-1.
