Meanwhile, even though Dawson scored an imposing 63 points on Friday, Marlin still came out on top. Marlin strolled past the Bulldogs with points to spare, taking the game 77-63.
Marlin's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jaidan Womack, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals, and Aarik Smith-shelley, who scored 15 points along with five blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacorian Johnson, who scored 12 points along with six assists.
Axtell now has a winning record of 14-13. As for Marlin, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.
