Taft has gone a perfect 9-0 against Lincoln Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Taft took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They never let Curie get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Lorelei Monk made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Isabel Dennewitz was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 matches. Another player making a difference was Ginevra Kellogg, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Taft kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 12-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln Park). They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Juarez on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lions with their most commanding win of the season.
Like Taft, Lincoln Park also got a great game from a two-way player: Susanna Morris. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Morris was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
In other batting news, Lincoln Park got a massive performance out of Natalie Alvarez, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Those stolen bases marked the first that Alvarez has snagged this season. Eleanor Funke was another key player, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Lincoln Park's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Taft, their win bumped their record up to 16-10.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Taft hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .355. However, it's not like Lincoln Park struggles in that department as they've averaged .316. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Taft took their victory against Lincoln Park in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
