Adams Central has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the Fillmore Central Panthers on Friday. Adams Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 298 points over their last five matchups.
Last Tuesday, Adams Central strolled past St. Paul with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. Given Adams Central's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 12th, while St. Paul is ranked 209th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Fillmore Central, who are still winless after their fifth match. They lost to Thayer Central on the road by a decisive 45-26 margin on Tuesday.
Adams Central pushed their record up to 5-0 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Fillmore Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
Everything came up roses for Adams Central against Fillmore Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 64-23 victory. With Adams Central ahead 35-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
