The Redeemer Christian Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-52 win over Aucilla Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Redeemer Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Beau Suarez was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with six steals and five rebounds. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Davis Lehman, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Redeemer Christian pushed their record up to 8-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Aucilla Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Redeemer Christian will head out on the road to challenge Seven Rivers Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Seven Rivers Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Aucilla Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Wakulla Christian School at 7:30 p.m. Wakulla Christian School comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
