Volleyball Recap: Stryker Beats Bryan for Their Third Straight Win + How To Watch

Stryker had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bryan Golden Bears. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Golden Bears walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Stryker was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 24-26, 25-14, 15-12.

Stryker found their leader in sophomore Makayla Guy, who had nine digs and one assist.

Stryker was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in four consecutive contests.

Despite the loss, Bryan saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reese Ruffer had 16 digs and three aces. Braya Hepker also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

Stryker's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Bryan, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Stryker wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Gorham Fayette on the 7th. As for Bryan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Wauseon on the 7th.
