On Saturday, The Rock National Lions faced the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Rock National walked away with a 57-50 win over Calvary Christian Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for The Rock National.
Despite the loss, Calvary Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Shon Abaev, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Abaev is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of John Roland, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
The Rock National has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
