Basketball Recap: Sumner Skates Past Curtis with Ease

Sumner waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Curtis Vikings 72-14. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Olivia Collins, who shot 63% from the field en route to 21 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Meela Isabell, who posted nine points and four steals.

Sumner's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Curtis, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-16 record this season.

Sumner has already played their next game, a 54-42 win against Emerald Ridge on the 2nd. As for Curtis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-39 defeat against Puyallup on the 2nd.
