Kennedy took a 57-43 bruising from Walter Johnson. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Kennedy in their matchups with Walter Johnson: they've now lost five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walter Johnson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Norah Youssef, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kendall Alexander, who scored 13 points along with 9 rebounds.
Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walter Johnson, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Kennedy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Poolesville at 7:15 p.m. on January 23, 2024. As for Walter Johnson, they will head out on the road to face off against Damascus at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
