Volleyball Recap: Minooka Finds Home Court Redemption Against Andrew

There's no place like home for Minooka, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Andrew Thunderbolts on Monday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Thunderbolts recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

While Minooka won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-12.

Connor Latta paced Minooka's offense, picking up nine kills. Latta got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his 14 assists. Jayce Moore controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Minooka's victory bumped their record up to 16-17. As for Andrew, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-21 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minooka will square off against Plainfield South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrew, they will face off against Lockport at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Thunderbolts are facing the Porters at the right time seeing as the Porters are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
