Andy Purvis turned in yet another pitching appearance with more than six strikeouts on Friday. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has become a key player for UMS-Wright Prep: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-8 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Purvis and UMS-Wright Prep will face off against Rain at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sadly, Purvis' big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped UMS-Wright Prep's five-game streak of wins at home.
