Softball Recap: River View Wins Going Away Against Van

River View was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They blew past the Van Bulldogs 27-13. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Mileigh Goodman was a standout: she went 5-for-6 with five runs, six RBI, and two stolen bases. Lilly Perkins was another key player, firing off four runs, three doubles, and four RBI while going 4-for-6.

River View always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .648. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Van only posted an OBP of .455.

River View now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Van, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

River View and Van will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Raiders see the field they'll take on Mount View at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th. As for Van, their break will end when they face Elk Valley Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
