The Grove City Christian Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Bishop Rosecrans Bishops  at 5:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Bishop Rosecrans took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Grove City Christian, who comes in off a win.
Grove City Christian will roll into the  game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any  runs  on Thursday, then bounced right back against Wellington School  on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp  11-1 victory. The  win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.
 Jeff Collins spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on six hits and racked up six Ks.

 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Peyton Fillinger, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with two  triples, two  stolen bases,  and three  runs. He has become a key player for Grove City Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 2-7-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jadunn Harris, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Grove City Christian  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's a new  trend for them: they were averaging 5.6  hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 12.6.
Meanwhile, Bishop Rosecrans has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.92  runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit  on Monday. They lost  12-2 to Berne Union. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss the Bishops have suffered  since April 7th.
 Bishop Rosecrans saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Titan Grandstaff, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run.
 With the  defeat, Bishop Rosecrans broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for Grove City Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7-1.
Wednesday's   matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Grove City Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .342. However, it's not like Bishop Rosecrans struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .335. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Grove City Christian took their  win against Bishop Rosecrans  in their previous meeting  on April 7th by a conclusive  10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
