The Midfield Patriots waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They came out on top against Childersburg by a score of 68-59. With that win, Midfield brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Midfield found their leader in underclassman Kamiya Webb, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 19 rebounds. Webb is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Jazmin Johnson, who scored 15 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Midfield is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Childersburg, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-7.
Midfield will challenge Montevallo at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Childersburg, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Tarrant at 6:00 p.m. Tarrant comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last five games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
