After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shore Regional, Ocean Township was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Freehold Boro Colonials an 18-0 shutout. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 17 runs or more this season.

Ocean Township is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Freehold Boro, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Ocean Township beat the Colonials by a score of 19-0 later that day.
