St. Michael's extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 5 this week by beating Robertson, 54-2. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
St. Michael's took down the Cardinals 54-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
St. Michael's' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Horsemen feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cory Serna has thrown for 705 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Santo Coppola has six catches for 210 yards. Salomon Martinez leads the league in rushing with 143 yards.
Joey Fernandez's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,218 from 1,748. The advance stemmed from a 54-2 victory over Robertson last week.
