It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Southington had no problem doing just that on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Norwich Free Academy Wildcats 42-7. The win was nothing new for the Blue Knights as they're now sitting on seven straight.
Ben Beaulieu was his usual excellent self, rushing for 140 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 101 rushing yards. Luke Prozzo was another key player, throwing for 218 yards and three TDs.
Southington's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Norwich Free Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Southington didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 45-6 defeat against Greenwich on the 13th. Norwich Free Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
