On Friday, Hickory Grove Christian take on Concord First Assembly Academy at 7:00 PM. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Hickory Grove Christian found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-38 punch to the gut against SouthLake Christian Academy last Friday. Hickory Grove Christian were down by 6-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, Concord First Assembly Academy had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They were completely outmatched, falling 6-62 to Village Christian Academy. Concord First Assembly Academy were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-38.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better score. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous game, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
