4A Cowapa recap Sept. 26, 2012
Taylor Loss and Kyle Dahlke provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Central. The connection went for 79 yards, the longest such play in 4A Cowapa this season.
Scappoose moved up to 55 from 94 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Indians climbed the ranks as a result of a 46-26 win over the Panthers.
Scappoose's dynamic duo of Loss and Paul Revis proved tough for Central to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Loss threw for 368 yards and six touchdowns and Revis had 286 yards receiving. Kyle Kramer helped Scappoose's passing attack out by catching six balls for 58 yards.
Jacob Wassmer was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 102 yards as Tillamook bested Shane Hedrick's team. Cole Berge also contributed to the rushing game with 33 yards on the ground.
Scappoose's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Loss has thrown for 978 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Revis has 35 catches for 609 yards. Carson Davison leads the league in rushing with 376 yards.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Seaside takes on the Cheesemakers. The Seagulls have allowed 32 points this season, while Tillamook has given up 54.
There should be lots of points scored when Banks and the Indians face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Braves comes in having scored 107 this season, while Scappoose has scored 153. Banks scored 30 points last week as it lost to La Salle.
The Indians led the league in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on the Panthers. Loss ran for 42 yards in the win.
