The Lewiston Bengals lost against the Sandpoint Bulldogs back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Lewiston took a hard 58-42 fall against Sandpoint. Lewiston has not had much luck with Sandpoint recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Sandpoint's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordyn Tomco led the charge by scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Aliya Strock, who scored 20 points.
Lewiston bumped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sandpoint, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Lewiston will head out on the road to face off against Timberlake at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sandpoint will be home for the holidays to greet Kellogg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Kellogg focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Saturday.
