The King's Fork Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Hampton Crabbers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: King's Fork has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Hampton will arrive with eight straight victories.
On Thursday, King's Fork didn't have quite enough to beat Deep Creek and fell 10-9.

King's Fork saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brendon Butler, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The Bulldogs are 5-1 when Butler posts two or more runs, but 0-12 otherwise. Earling Hunter was another, going 3-for-4 with two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hampton). They were the clear victors by a 22-0 margin over Heritage on Thursday. Considering the Crabbers have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Nick Parr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Parr was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ashton Green, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and two doubles. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ike Ziemba, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI.
Hampton always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.
King's Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Hampton, their record now sits at 15-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. King's Fork has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hampton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
