A Season-Best Performance from Ryder Norton Leads Northwest over Bell
On Thursday, Northwest got the W thanks in part to Ryder Norton playing the best football he has all season. Norton rushed for 85 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 225 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.
The victory for Northwest keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Norton will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Keller Central on Thursday.

On Friday, Southlake Carroll got the W thanks in part to Davis Penn playing the best football he has all season. Penn rushed for 136 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in December of 2023.
If history really does repeat itself, Penn might just drop another big game when he faces off against V.R. Eaton on Thursday. Penn rushed for 128 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries the last time he and the Eagles duked it out back in October of 2023.

Southlake Carroll picked up their sixth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Angelo Renda. Renda turned in nothing short of a gem, throwing for 245 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.2% of his passes.
On the season, Renda has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 243.3 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one passing touchdown.

Brock Boyd and Co. Win Sixth in a Row
Brock Boyd's big game helped extend Southlake Carroll's winning streak to six on Friday. Nobody could stop Boyd as he picked up 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 135 receiving yards dating back to last season.
On the year, Boyd has caught 9 touchdowns while averaging 115.7 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had three receiving touchdowns.

Nathanial Jean's big game helped extend Northwest's winning streak to five on Thursday. Jean did his part (and then some), rushing for 100 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'.
