The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils will play host again and welcome the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bellwood-Antis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
Last Wednesday, Bellwood-Antis earned a 60-49 victory over Huntingdon. The victory was just what Bellwood-Antis needed coming off of a 77-53 loss in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Anthony Caracciolo, who scored 17 points along with two steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. Martin Fatzinger was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Philipsburg-Osceola had to suffer through a rough 94-51 loss at the hands of Bishop Guilfoyle. Philipsburg-Osceola was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-24.
Bellwood-Antis' victory bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they dropped their record down to 4-16 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Bellwood-Antis beat Philipsburg-Osceola 40-32 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. Does Bellwood-Antis have another victory up their sleeve, or will Philipsburg-Osceola turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
