Garris Andrews put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit (and only one walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (one). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024.
Andrews wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gage Mustachia, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Meanwhile, James Kenan had just enough and edged out Pender 5-4 on Tuesday.
Cal Avent spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up nine Ks.
On the hitting side, Eli Avent was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
James Kenan was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pender only posted a batting average of .148.
The win got James Kenan back to even at 1-1. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
