On Thursday, South San Antonio West was the victim of a tough 64-38 defeat at the hands of Brady. South San Antonio West has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brady can attribute much of their success to Lexie Whisenhunt, who scored 27 points along with 5 steals. Whisenhunt hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Aiva Farris, who scored 6 points along with 5 assists and 5 rebounds.
South San Antonio West has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Brady, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.
South San Antonio West will head out on the road to face off against Johnson City at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Johnson City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than South San Antonio West in Texas (Johnson City is ranked 290th, while South San Antonio West is ranked 1293rd). As for Brady, they will take on Lago Vista at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Lago Vista focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
