Last Monday, Saunders Trades & Tech lost to Roosevelt on the road by a decisive 86-71 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Saunders Trades & Tech in their matchups with Roosevelt: they've now lost seven in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Alex Vazquez, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micheal Patterson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Suffern was able to grind out a solid victory over Ossining on Saturday, taking the game 64-56. Given Suffern's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 97th, while Ossining is ranked 356th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Saunders Trades & Tech now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Suffern, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
