Despite the defeat, Kenton Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Summer Swords scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Swords hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games.
Kenton Ridge bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for North Union, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Kenton Ridge will be playing at home against London at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Union, they will head out on the road to square off against Benjamin Logan at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
