Hilton has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Rush-Henrietta Royal Comets at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Hilton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last nine contests.
Hilton posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They put the hurt on Gates Chili with a sharp 81-59 victory. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, Rush-Henrietta beat Mendon 67-54 last Saturday.
Jalen Taggart was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jahquin Brown was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.
Hilton's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Rush-Henrietta, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Hilton strolled past Rush-Henrietta in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 71-56. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Taggart, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Hilton still be able to contain him? There's only one way to find out.
