Dadeville made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,196 from 2,534. The advance stemmed from a 40-0 victory over Handley last week.
Childersburg led 4A Region 3 in scoring this week by notching 41 points on Dallas County.
Michael Walls threw for 246 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 17-30 with 0 interceptions.
Jay Foster was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 93 yards on 10 carries as the Tigers beat Holtville. C. J. Tolbert also contributed to the rushing game with 91 yards on the ground.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, the Panthers' Walls and Javon Moore have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Walls has thrown for 1,715 yards this season, while Moore has 48 catches for 837 yards. Tolbert from Dadeville leads the league in rushing with 963 yards.
The top two teams in 4A Region 3 will face off this week when first place Central of Clay County takes on second place Dadeville.
Richard White's team's Tolbert needs only 37 yards against Central of Clay County next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 101 carries Tolbert has put up 963 yards this year.
The Tigers' offense has recorded 296 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Volunteers have permitted only 59 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Dadeville takes on Central of Clay County. The Tigers have allowed 82 points this season, while Kris Herron's team has given up 59. Dadeville allowed 0 points last week as it bested the Tigers.
