A Region 3B recap Sept. 26, 2012
Johnson County extended the longest winning streak in A Region 3B this week by beating Savannah Country Day, 35-28. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Trojans.
Treutlen moved up to 303 from 389 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Vikings climbed the ranks as a result of a 27-19 win over the Vikings.
Greg Percell was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 106 yards as Emanuel County Institute defeated Claxton. James Brown also contributed to the rushing game with 32 yards on the ground.
The Bulldogs' Caleb Pressey and Percell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading A Region 3B in both passing and receiving yards. Pressey has thrown for 374 yards this season, while Percell has six catches for 208 yards. Glendarrius Darrisaw from Johnson County leads the league in rushing with 405 yards.
Treutlen made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,315 from 11,064. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 27-19 victory over the Vikings last week.
