Prosser is 0-10 against Selah since April of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Mustangs will head out on the road to challenge the Vikings at 3:00 p.m. Prosser knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Selah likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, Prosser got the win against Toppenish by a conclusive 18-2. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
Mallory Barnhart made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Barnhart was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two doubles, and one triple. She has been hot, having posted three or more hits the last five times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lina Lefebvre, who went 2-for-4 with seven RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mia Salinas, who earned one RBI, three runs, and three stolen bases.
Prosser always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .514. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Selah came up short against Moses Lake on Wednesday, falling 9-3.
Aspin Grubenhoff made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kymbree Brost, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
Prosser's record is now 8-10. As for Selah, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Prosser hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .341. However, it's not like Selah struggles in that department as they've averaged .440. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Prosser might still be hurting after the 12-0 loss they got from Selah when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
