Softball Recap: Hollywood Drops Season-High Score on Discovery

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hollywood). They blew past the Discovery Warriors 21-13 on Friday. The Sheiks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Iralyn Ortiz was excellent, going 4-for-6 with one double. Eleiyah Layton was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with one double.

Hollywood's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Discovery, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Hollywood and Discovery will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Sheiks see the field they'll take on Sherman Oaks CES at 2:30 p.m. on the 25th. As for Discovery, their break will end when they face Valley Oaks CES at 3:30 p.m. on the 28th.
